Berni
Parker originates from the north of England;
she has a degree in graphic arts with illustration as
her speciality.
She now lives and works from her home studio in rural
Worcestershire.
Influenced by her love of the countryside and the environment
which surrounds her, she has created a light and feminine
style that is very appealing.
Over the last 20 years her involvement with the UK greeting
card industry has produced many successful ranges in
varying styles for a variety of publishers.
Her most refined individual technique uses multi-layered
hand made papers laying down colour using a variety
of media and materials. This produces images that have
a delicate soft three dimensional quality and texture.
This very special hand crafted and charming style is
said to be unique and that “The picture can be
touched with your eyes”.
Following the success of the Fairy and Ladies Who Lunch images
she has refined the technique further to extend the range published as Limited
Edition Gicleé Prints, and now to be made into an extensive range of paper & non-paper products.
She is a versatile artist with a passion for creating,
inspired by a mind full of endless ideas and a desire
to experiment with different techniques to create new
and different looks.
She is going to continue to develop new designs and
characters inspired by the rural setting of her studio
with the intention of broadening the cross-section of products licensed to be offered for worldwide sale.
